QUESTION:What does our church name “Abundant Life Fellowship” mean?
ANSWER: When Jesus said that He had come to give us abundant life, He was not just talking about eternal life but a fulfilled life here and now. (John 10:10b NKJV says "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly) This means that as Believers in Christ we can live daily in this dark world of sin and troubles and still have a life of peace, prosperity and blessings by following Christ. As a church, it is our commitment to proclaim this message of victory concerning the abundant life to all. The Word of God tells us in 1 John 5:4 "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." (NIV)
QUESTION: What does it mean that Abundant Life Fellowship is a Non-Denominational Church?
ANSWER: This means that we are an independent body of Believers and we do not identify ourselves with any type of religious group or particular denomination or doctrine. We are a Church of Born-Again Christians who model our Church after the original church found in the book of Acts.
InActs -47 we read, “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church[a] daily those who were being saved.” (NKJV)
The early church was a fellowship of believers who loved the Lord and they loved each other. God’s Word tells us in Acts that all of the believers worshiped and fellowshipped together and had everything in common with each other. These early church members lived according to the New Testament teachings of Jesus and the Apostles. These early believers were simply called Christians and not Baptists, Pentecostals, Assemblies of God, Lutherans, Catholics, Methodists etc. The early church lived in a way that they identified themselves with Jesus instead of a certain denomination or doctrine. Denominations came from the ideas of men and men taking control of the church and were never part of God’s plan for His church. It was after the reformation that hundreds of denominations and different religious groups began to spring up. With denominations came problems, factions, divisions and strife among the body of Christ. These divisions are still very present and are maintained today by Church Leaders in the name of their denomination instead of encouraging unity among Born Again Christians in the name of Christ.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:10, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." (NKJV)
Therefore, knowing that God’s Word commands us in 1 Corinthians 1:10 to be in unity and not allow any divisions, we do not identify ourselves with any type of religious group or particular denomination or doctrine due to the divisions they have caused among Believers over many decades. It is our goal to promote and maintain unity in the Church of Jesus Christ.
We accept all Born Again Believers in Christ and we are not concerned about one’s denominational background or religious upbringing. We are only concerned about helping people know that God loves them and that Jesus died on the cross for them and that they can have eternal life. We are concernedabout helping those who have made Jesus their Savior find their God given talents and calling so they can grow in the Lord to glorify God and to minister to others.
QUESTION:What does it mean that Abundant Life Fellowship is a Full-Gospel Church
ANSWER: This means that we are a Church that believes all of the Bible is the inspired Word of God and we believe and teach the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 " All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NKJV)
At Abundant Life Fellowship we teach and preach God's Holy Word to help everyone who is part of our Church to become everything that God desires for them in this life. One of our goals is to equip everyone to be able to minister inthe capacity that God has called them.
QUESTION:What does it mean that Abundant Life Fellowship is a Spirit Filled Church?
ANSWER:This means that we are a Church that believes that the gifts of the Holy Spirit that God gave to the early Church are still to be in operation within the Church today. The purpose of these gifts are to empower believers to minister to the needs of the Church body. These gifts are to bring glory to God and not draw attention to man!
We believe any Christian can get themselves in a proper place to receive the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit, as the apostle Paul himself tells us not to be afraid to try and stir up these 9 specific gifts with the Lord.
God's Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
QUESTION:What type of music and worship takes place at Abundant Life Fellowship?
ANSWER:The Bible tells us in Psalm 100:4 that we are to “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (NKJV)
Praise and Worship is a big part of every service at Abundant Life Fellowship. Therefore music plays an important role. We do not get caught up in one certain style or type of music but rather we use a wide variety of Praise and Worship Music. Sometimes we sing contemporary choruses and sometimes we sing Hymns. Sometimes our praise and worship is fast paced and exuberant with clapping and the raising of hands and other times it is more reserved and quiet. Sometimes our worship involves bowing down or prostrating oneself at the altar. Whatever the mode at the time, we strongly encourage everyone to praise and worship the Lord from their heart for that is what the Lord God desires.
The Bible tells us in John 4:24, “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

ANSWER:We believe God looks on the heart of people and not on their outward appearance. Therefore, we do not judge any one by how they dress. We do not have a specific dress code for our members or guests.
Some of our members dress casual in blue jeans and T-shirts and others dress more formally in dresses, dress pants, shirts and ties. No one is treated any differently by the clothes they wear or by the style of their hair. We want you to feel at home and to enjoy the atmosphere of praise and worship as well as allow the Lord to touch your heart while you are here.
QUESTION:What does Abundant Life Fellowship believe concerning salvation?
ANSWER: We believe that in order for any one to receive eternal life, they must be Born Again as Jesus stated in John 3:3. “In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
Because salvation of the lost is the most important reason why we as a church exists, the opportunity to receive Jesus as Savior is offered to all who need salvation at every service.
